Joey Moss

Deaf Professional Night DPN Host/Coordinator

Jesse "Rupert" Dubler

DCPA Chair

As the co-founder and Coordinator, DCPA is his brainchild made possible with the help of other incredible people on his team! He is always seeking feedback from the community on where DCPA should be going and welcomes *your* feedback! As a San Diego native, he is working towards a degree in Political Science at University of California, San Diego (UCSD). When not studying, he remains active on-campus while operating a vacation rental business and implementing a large grant project for an online international clearinghouse on marine debris. In his limited spare time, he enjoys racquetball, rock climbing, communing with the nature, reading fun novels, taking off on a weekend trip, and community service.

He has been a San Diego native most of his life and had his first true ASL environment exposure when he attended CSDR in Riverside where he graduated. He attended RIT for a short time before returning to San Diego to continue his college education. He has seen first hand how scattered the Deaf community is in San Diego and it was one of the primary reasons he left for the Bay Area for a few years where he enjoyed the various Deaf circles up there. Upon his return to San Diego, he decided he wanted to do something about the lack of Deaf social circles in San Diego, especially ones with people that have similar interests as himself. He wanted to help give back to the community one way or another. In the summer of 07, he took over and maintained Deaf Professional Night (DPN) formerly known as "DPHH", and went on to co-found DCPA in the spring of 08 with Rupert in hopes of increasing and strengthening the Professional Deaf community. He's currently active in the UCSD Cancer Center Deaf Outreach Program as well. He's eagerly looking forward to the growth of DCPA and the community in the upcoming months.
