About Us

The DCPA is an informal social referral network based in San Diego County providing recreational opportunities for both deaf and hearing professionals serving the deaf community. We welcome all kinds of professionals with intermediate knowledge of sign language, including future professionals now studying in graduate school. All of our events are hosted by various volunteers in the deaf community with a strong interest in the activity, be it camping, museum tours, or fine dining. These hosts are what makes our community happen. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Our Mission to the Deaf Professional Community of San Diego

DCPA, founded and run by community members, aim to connect like-minded professionals within the deaf community based on their interests. We target the professionals exclusively because they have the disposable income and other resources to stay long-term in San Diego. Professionals are also likely to have unique interests that they'd like to pursue but experience difficulties in locating others who share their interests.

DCPA are operated by a team of volunteers who works to connect our members with each other and provide advice/support for any of the hosts. Come join us. Host an event today. It's your community, not ours. How can we help?
